Early Career and NHL Draft
Tim Gleason, an American ice hockey player, began his playing career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Windsor Spitfires.
He spent four successful seasons with the team before being drafted in the first round (23rd overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators.
NHL Career
Gleason's NHL career began with the Los Angeles Kings, who acquired him from the Senators in 2003.
After three seasons with the Kings, he was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006. In 2008, he signed a four-year, $2.75 million contract with the Hurricanes.
