Irving Milfred Mole (March 11, – April 29, )[1] known professionally as Miff Mole, was an American jazz trombonist and band leader.
He is generally considered one of the greatest jazz trombonists[2] and credited with creating "the first distinctive and influential solo jazz trombone style."[3]
His major recordings included "Slippin' Around", "Red Hot Mama" in with Sophie Tucker on vocals, "Miff's Blues", and "There'll Come a Time (Wait and See)", which is on the film soundtrack to the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
