Georges-Pierre Seurat (FR. Georges-Pierre Seurat 2 December 1859, Paris — March 29, 1891, Paris) – the founder of neo-impressionism, French painter, who introduced the painting technique of creating pictures by drawing on the canvas of a plurality of adjacent dots of pure contrasting colors (pointillism, or divisionism).
Neo-impressionism has influenced many famous painters of the time.
